UBE Decides to Increase Production Capacity of High-purity Nitric Acid for Semiconductor

UBE Corporation announced to increase production capacity of high-purity nitric acid at the Ube Chemical Factory (Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture) in order to meet a further increase in demand in the future.

The new equipment construction plan comes after the expansion of the manufacturing equipment in early FY2024. The production capacity will increase further by about 30% compared to the current level.

Nippon Soda and Kyulux sign capital and business alliance agreement to establishmass production system for OLED emitting materials

Nippon Soda and Kyulux have signed a capital and business alliance agreement to establish a massproduction system for Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent materials (TADF), a next-generation organic electroluminescent displays emitting material platform.

Going forward, Nippon Soda will take an equity stake in Kyulux and will engage in process development and capital investment toward establishing a mass production system. Kyulux will then provide technical support to Nippon Soda in building its mass production system, thereby realizing the world's first mass production and stable supply system for TADF.

Sumitomo Electric Signs a Contract with DPS for International Resource Circulation through Recovery of Rare Metal from Wastewater during FPC Manufacturing

Sumitomo Electric Industries announced an agreement with DPS for the recovery of rare metals used in the manufacturing process of flexible printed circuits (FPCs).

Through the "Asia Business Creation Platform," DPS recently proposed a technology to our FPC manufacturing base in Vietnam for adsorbing and recovering Pd contained in wastewater at ultra-low concentrations with the application of its proprietary silica gel structure, DualPore. Following successful verification, Sumitomo Electric decided to adopt the technology.
