TAIYO YUDEN constructs a new factory at TAIYO YUDEN (CHANGZHOU)

TAIYO YUDEN announced to construct a factory on the premises of TAIYO YUDEN (CHANGZHOU), and start producing multilayer ceramic capacitors in 2023.

Total floor area is approximately 80,000 m2. Expected investment is approximately 17 billion yen (only the building).

The new cutting-edge factory will be environmentally friendly, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases through energy conservation by using energy efficient production equipment and energy creation by installing solar panels on its roof.

Toray Develops Transparent and Heat-Resistant Film for 5G Communications

Toray Industries announced that it has developed a new film for 5G communications. The film offers excellent transparency, heat-resistance, flame-retardancy, and dielectric performance.

Toray combined polymer design and proprietary particle dispersion technologies to eliminate these voids in bi-axially oriented polyphenylene sulfide film. It thereby reduced the yellow tinge and significantly increased film transparency without compromising performance benefits. The haze of this highly transparent polyphenylene sulfide film is comparable to that of polyethylene terephthalate film.
Used in transparent 5G antennas, Toray's new film would help stabilize 5G communications by cutting signal losses under different temperature and humidity conditions and improve visibility and design.

Ricoh releases industrial IP head with thin-film piezo head

Ricoh Company announced the launch of a new industrial inkjet printhead the RICOH TH6310F that uses a thin film piezo actuator and is a key component in digital printing systems. It will be globally available from November 23, 2021.

TH6310F will be launched as the flagship model amongst Ricoh's family of industrial inkjet printheads. Utilizing its high firing frequencies, it is the most productive inkjet printhead by Ricoh for both single or multi-pass applications. Using MEMS technology enables high jetting accuracy, while its unique nozzle layout yields excellent print quality even at high gap printing required in textile and other applications.
